BUILDING THE FUTURE FOR TETON VALLEY PETS

Through the Homeward Bound Capital Campaign, we're building more than a shelter. We're building a future  - one where no pet is left without care, where families have a trusted partner, and where every animal has a warm bed, a gentle touch, and a path home.

A BUILDING IN CRISIS

  • Inconsistent heat in the winter

  • Plumbing backups

  • Poor insulation

  • Outdated laundry equipment

  • Rodent and pest problems in storage

  • Outdated layout puts a strain on care routines and animal health

ROOM TO HEAL, SPACE TO GROW

Our current shelter was designed to house 30 animals, yet we routinely care for 50 or more. Every inch of our facility is in use and still, the need continues to grow.

Since PAWS took over the shelter, we have cared for more than 1,400 pets - an extraordinary number for a community of just 12,000 residents. The demand for services far exceeds our current capacity, stretching our staff and our crumbling facility.

It's time for change.

The new PAWS Adoption & Resource Center will give pets and people the space, comfort, and care they deserve. Designed for health, safety, and connection, the new facility will:

  • Increase kennel capacity to safely house more pets in need

  • Add a medical and recovery suite for onsite treatment and post-surgery care

  • Create a maternity ward for nursing dogs and their puppies

  • Expand the kitten nursery to provide quiet, specialized care for fragile kittens

  • Increase outdoor play and exercise areas for cats and dogs

  • Add offices and community engagement spaces for staff, volunteers, and visitors

These improvements will ease overcrowding, enhance medical care, and create a welcoming environment where pets and people can heal, connect, and find their way home.

OUR VISION

Through the Homeward Bound Capital Campaign, PAWS envisions a future where:

Every Teton Valley pet in need has a safe, warm and healthy home in between homes.

Families never have to surrender a beloved pet due to hardship.

Our community has a modern, pet-focused facility that reflects the dignity every animal deserves.

Staff and volunteers have the space and tools to provide the highest level of care.
