Leave a Legacy That Will Save Lives

Your contribution to PAWS through a planned legacy gift will provide the resources we’ll need to save local animals from harm and suffering and provide financial aid to pet owners facing financial hardship for years to come. No matter the size of your gift is, this is the perfect way to leave a deeply meaningful legacy far into the future.

LEGACY PET PROGRAM: PEACE OF MIND

As a courtesy to members of the PAWS Legacy Society, we offer peace of mind. If your pets outlive you or you’re no longer able to care for them, PAWS will assume their care—whether or not they were adopted from us. Following your wishes, your pets will be lovingly placed with a foster family until we find them a new, permanent home. Let us help you plan ahead for the ones who depend on you most.

ANNUAL LEGACY SOCIETY LUNCHEON

Once a year members gather for an exclusive luncheon to celebrate their love for animals and socialize with other Legacy Society members! You’ll also receive invitations to PAWS events including our annual holiday party and more!

AN ACT OF KINDNESS

Leaving a future gift to PAWS means being part of a greater good. Making a difference in the lives of pets who are suffering and pet owners who need financial help means sharing your passion for animals, your kindness and generosity.

What if my pet is old or in poor health?

If you enroll your pet(s) in our Legacy Pets Program, PAWS will accept your pets regardless of their physical condition. Although older and ailing animals are sometimes difficult to place in permanent homes, PAWS will provide foster care for your pet(s) as long as needed.

What services will the program provide if I die or can no longer care for my pet?

PAWS will become your pets' legal guardian and will start caring for your pets as soon as we receive notice of your death or incapacitation. We will then place your pets up for adoption to suitable, loving home(s) consistent with the information in their pet profile. Enrollment in our Legacy Pets Program ensures that your pets will receive compassionate care for the rest of their lives.

Will my pet be adopted through the PAWS Legacy Pets Program?

PAWS will make every effort to find your pets new, permanent homes. We will post their pictures and life stories online and bring them to our adoption events, if appropriate. Most of our pets find new homes with our help. We will have a lifetime commitment to your pets whether they're in foster or permanent homes.

Where will my pets live while they are waiting for a new home?

While we work to find a permanent home for your pets, they will live in a qualified foster home with a PAWS volunteer. Our foster volunteers are sensitive to the special needs of surviving pets and will provide love and attention as well as physical care.
