In January, a frail and frostbitten cat, later named Chicken, appeared on a doorstep, seeking shelter from the subzero temperatures. Hearing her faint cries, the homeowner welcomed her in, finding her malnourished and in desperate need of help.
A trip to the vet revealed the extent of Chicken's injuries – frostbite had gotten her ears, tail, nose, and paws, and she had a painful laceration on her tail. With support from PAWS' MedFund program, Chicken received the necessary treatment to heal.
Through attentive care and the passage of time, Chicken underwent a remarkable transformation, blossoming into a playful and loving companion. Today, in her nurturing home, Chicken thrives, demonstrating the power of compassion and the opportunities of second chances.
